In 2019, Active 8 Social was a small marketing agency, that specialised in lead generation for Coaches, Builders & Construction Companies by using Meta™ ads (Formally known as Facebook™ Ads).
Being a certified Meta™ media buyer, you can image how easily I was crushing client results by turning $300 leads into $10 leads, and scaled campaigns into the $$$ daily range.
Fast forward to 7 years later… it has never been easier to generate leads on Meta™ ads (Facebook™)! However, that also means that it’s harder than ever to convert a lead into a sale.
And that’s when I noticed a pattern, one that kept showing up time after time on every conversion audit meeting…
It didn’t matter if we generated 300+ leads per month for these business owners… the real issue wasn’t lead volume, it was what happened after the enquiry!
Calls were missed… Follow-up happened days later (or not at all)… Enquiries sat in inboxes over the weekend… Calendars weren’t connected… Notes weren’t logged, so noone had any idea if they’ve been contacted or not…
And my personal favourite… I had a sales team from a US building company literally say to my face
“I haven’t called anyone from that 500 leads list, It’s a waste of my time! I’m too busy driving real people around to look at display homes”.
Yup… I’m NOT joking! After 2 months of hard work, generating them 500+ consult request leads… I was told it was all for nothing.
This set my soul ablaze, leading me down a ruthless path of discovery to find out that almost every single client either had outsourced their sales calls to an international VA that was ghosted (Scam alert… DUH!), or hired a family member for admin work but didn’t know the first thing about building report!
Every where I looked, the pipeline looked busy, but bookings weren’t consistent… if any!
This was the pivotal point that changed everything forever…
